The sun burst today open with a cold front
blown down from the North with a new song
Trumpets blow open the anthem of the New Republic -
a New World Order of the shadows

They told us with their new face that everything
can change to what we want it to be; the people, the dream:
Everyone's society - burn out the old wars - no need for
death anymore, just a matter of choice.
Let them choose for you.

Choose the change that everyone can believe in.

Fiery beauty, moves down the mountain to the ugly valley,
watch out, the sun now turns yellow to orange, as red as blood
flows out now, the gutters flood today.

The day of choice we can believe in the lie we call truth, that we can believe in.
The change of all time, for people worldwide, have chosen the change.
They chose for you.
The choose for you the change we can all believe in.

The beauty of the last day, our Nation surrendered to a New World Order,
Over one-hundred years, day-by-day, we gave it away;
A fucking bloodless coup with a face of all the people.

Let's give up our guns and go along, why not?
I'd rather comply without incident so we can be safe from dissent.

No Colors

As I drive toward the city, I wonder, "Is this where he wanted me to go?"
I drive into the city, and wonder, "Isn't this where he said it would be?"

A mile in the sky they pass me by:
Thousands of people everywhere; faceless, no colors.
Thousands upon thousands of faces who have no idea, no answers.
Fear stirs me as I cry out, "Is this where he left it for me to find?"

Perfect, he slipped it slipped into the great plains wasteland,
just weeks before he died.
The wars that he caused didn't kill people, they killed the will.
Thousands of faceless people stare and ask if I'm doing okay.
I feel so out of place, or out of mind or whatever, I don't even know anymore.

But I'll keep searching, I'll keep looking for that place.
He said it would be there and god I hope it is.

Cloud Lightning

Awake in bed I peer through night
wondering if she'll ever know to love me again
the whiring calm lulls me to that place of reason and grace
solar flares and dry sands whirl to the tornado's pace

Cloud lightning breaks my mind
Summer storm clouds fill, so absolute
with rain what i thought was mine
Its echos down the street so dear of my love gone

God's desert rocks so clean -- so pure
of a billion years of reason and grace

Night Terros

Just the other night Subterranean night terrors ripped through her heart
tearing out what she'd thought had been healed
My beautiful girl, God forgives those who repent
Even though I only wish I could believe in what you fear,

You didn't make the towers fall, but out of the rubble sacrifice burns away
with you buried underneath
Those fires, the euphoric love of completion and holiness
and away the son rises

I'd never seen lands like that before, so large and free

Cucumber Water

Not even time will make it right, as you're dropped cold, shivering or maybe seizuring at the hospital.
If I'd been there, what would I have seen?
Vivid solace something like infancy within a catatonic vessel battling immortality?
